Day 1
Arusha to Serengeti National Park
Set out from Arusha towards the Serengeti, travelling through the Ngorongoro highlands and into the wide plains of the national park. The journey is part of the experience, with changing scenery and an en-route game drive once you enter the Serengeti. Arrive at camp in time to settle in, watch the evening light fade over the savannah, and hear your guide’s plan for the next full day of wildlife viewing.

Day 2
Serengeti National Park
Spend the full day exploring the Serengeti with your private guide. Start early while predators are active, then follow fresh tracks, water sources, granite kopjes, and current wildlife reports instead of a fixed circuit. Depending on the season, you may encounter resident big cats, large herds on the plains, and remarkable birdlife. Pause for a picnic lunch in the bush and return to camp in the late afternoon or after a quiet sundowner stop.

Day 3
Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
After a final morning drive in the Serengeti, continue east through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the crater for an afternoon game drive among grassland, seasonal lakes, and the permanent water of the hippo pools. The floor’s compact ecosystem makes this one of Tanzania’s best places to look for buffalo, lion, elephant, and black rhino. Climb back to the highlands and continue to the Karatu area for dinner and overnight.

Day 4
Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
Visit Lake Manyara National Park in the morning, moving through its lush groundwater forest and along the lake edge before beginning the drive back to Arusha. This final park brings a different feel to the trip, with baboons, giraffe, buffalo, and abundant birdlife among the species your guide may find. Stop for lunch en route and arrive in Arusha in time for your onward arrangements or a tailored extension.
